When he refuses, he is thrown from the elevation of Oscorp Tower, but is saved by Spider-Man, who defeats Doc Octopus and recovers the antiserum. Octavius is apprehended and sent to jail.

Spider-Man brings the antiserum to Dr. Michaels, who is able to study it and mass produce a cure, though it is also late to save a number of those infected, including May Parker. The incident forces Osborn to footstep down from his position every bit mayor – while retaining his championship of CEO of Oscorp, Osborn is publicly disgraced.
